THE HUGE RESPONSE - HUNDERDS OF APPLICATIONS- FOR ABOVE OPENINGS AT MODULIGHTOR - WAS SYMPHATHETIC (BUT ALSO SCARY) : I HAVE BEEN IN YOUR SHOES WHEN I CAME FRESH FROM B-SCHOOL TO AMERICA.

WITH THE PRESSING DUTIES OF THE DAY I SIMPLY WAS NOT ABLE TO EXAMINE ALL APPLICATIONS OR EVEN RESPOND TO THEM! I AM SORRY. ALSO MANY APPLICANTS SIMPLY SEEMED TO ‘NEED A JOB' AND I COULD NOT FIND THE FITTING AND NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS. I THEREFORE THOUGHT OF ANOTHER APPROACH: DEFINE THE JOB DESCRIPTION CLOSER SO THAT CANDIDATES GET A CLEARER PICTURE OF WHAT IS EXPECTED FROM THEM AND OF WHAT QUALIFICATIONS GENERALLY AND SPECIFICALLY ARE REQUIRED.

WILLIAM BLITZER - THIRD GENERATION SPEARHEAD - OF THE HUGELY SUCCESSFUL ‘LIGHTOLIER' ( WITH SALES IN THE BILLIONS) IS JOINING US ON A P/T BASE - WITH THE IDEA TO BRING NEW EXITING PRODUCT THAT IS POSSIBLE- WITH THE NEW TECHNOLOGIES ‘TO LIGHT' !
A GREAT COMPLEMENT TO MODULIGHTOR!
I AM - AS THE FOUNDER AND OWNER OF MODULIGHTOR- NOW OVER 60. I WILL BE SEEKING LESS INVOLVEMENT IN OPERATIONS AND MORE INVOLVEMENT WITH IDEAS AND GROWTH: MODULIGHTOR IS OCCUPYING THE WHOLE BUILDING AT 246 EAST 58 STREET AND WE NEED TO EXPAND BUSINESS!
WE GOT APPLICATIONS OF EXPERIENCED TALENT BUT NEED TO LIMIT OURSELVES TO CANDIDATES THAT ARE WILLING TO LIMIT THE APPETITE FOR RENUMERATION FOR THE BASE SALARY IN THE THIRTIES. READ: NOT VASTLY EXPERIENCED PERSONS ARE NEEDED, BUT INTERMEDIARY TALENT WITH UPSIDE POTENTIAL.

ASKED FOR SALARIES TOWARDS SIX DIGIT FIGURES ARE SIMPLY NOT DOABLE OR AFFORDABLE FOR US ( AND IN 2 CASES DID NOT WORK OUT , ANYWAY)!

OUTGOING, FRIENDLY AND ENERGETIC PERSONALITY WITH STRONG SENSE FOR ACCURACY AND DETAILS. TECHNICAL UNDERSTANDING AND CONTACTS TO THE TRADE ARE PLUSES (ARCHITECTS, INTERIOR DESIGNERS, LIGHTING DESIGNERS).
PERSON NEEDS TO BE ABLE TO ‘BE ON TOP' OF ACCOUNTS, DELIVERY SCHEDULES, STRONG ‘COMMUNICATOR' AND ‘FOLLOW -UPPER'. FLAIR FOR MARKETING ACTIVITIES AND ‘PEOPLE PERSON' ( WE A VIVID SCHEDULE WITH THE ARCHITECTURAL COMMUNITY: THE BUILDING- DESIGNED BY PAUL RUDOLPH- HAS BECOME A DESTINATION FOR DESIGN AFFICIONADOS). COMPUTER LITERACITY IS MUST. OR IN BRIEF: A VERY LIKEABLE, ACCOUNTABLE PERSON.

PERSON OUGHT TO BE EFFICIENT AND WELL ORGANIZED AND MUST BE COMPUTER LITERATE ( QUICK BOOKS PRO, EXCELL, WORD ETC.) . NEEDS TO UPDATE 5-6 ACCOUNTS. PERSON WILL BE HANDLING ALSO ‘COLLECTIONS GALLERY' A SECOND BUSINESS THAT EVOLVED ( WEBSURFING, LABELLING TEC.).

FIXTURE MAKER
PERSON MUST BE ABLE TO WORK WELL WITH HIS HANDS ( AND HEAD) AND HAVE GOOD FINGER DEXTERITY. PRODUCTS ON OUR WEBSITE ( WWW.MODULIGHTOR.COM) REPRESENTS SOME VERSIONS OF WHAT THE PERSON WILL CREATE. MUST BE EXACTING AND HAVE A LOT OF COMMON SENSE AND BE A STEADY WORKER.
LAST BUT NOT LEAST: MODULIGHTOR ‘MADE IT' FROM SIMPLE BEGINNINGS. IT ESPECIALLY GREW IN THE LAST 15 YEARS SINCE WE OCCUPY 246 EAST 58 STREET ( 1990). AN ELECTRICAL ENGINEER, RADEK, RAN OPERATIONS OF MODULIGHTOR BUT LAST YEAR HE DECIDED TO JOIN HIS FAMILY BUSINESS IN POLAND. THIS SPRING WE UNDERTOOK FURTHER RESTRUCTURING WHICH OPENED UP THE 3 POSITIONS. AN- ALMOST READY-BROCHURE WILL HOPEFULLY BRING US THE REQUIRED NEW BUSINESS.

Wir suchen 2 –3 Mechaniker ( einer sollte Vorarbeiter Qualifikationen haben,
z.Bsp. ledige Kollegen) : Wir stellen Gratisunterkunft im selben Hause zur Verfuegung
(1 Bett & 2 Bett Zimmer). Grundsalaer ist ‘mean income in NYC area (NYT)’ & profit sharing bei ausserordentlicher Leistung.

Anforderungen: Gute “Haende & Koepfe” , ‘teamworkers”, effizientes , intelligentes, & genaues Arbeit; guter Leumund, Freude am “Tuefteln” und am Kunsthandwerklichem.
Wir haben z .Zt. 8-12 Angestellte, moechten (und muessen) expandieren, da wir nun ein ganzes Haus besetzen.
Uber die Jahre haben wir Schweizer Stagiaires angestellt und meistens gute bis sehr gute Erfahrungen gemacht . Deshalb moechte ich mit dem vorgaengigen Programm weiterfahren. Alter: 24-35 Jahre.
