Minilux SQ Up + Down LP11
CEILING OR SOFFIT-MOUNTED LINEAR PENDANT UP&DOWN LIGHT
Minilux SQ—approximately “SQuare” extrusion shape
Any length
No transformer or driver necessary
Dimmable
Modulightor’s Minilux SQ almost square profile provides a perfect statement in Modernist lighting. Bouncing light up off the ceiling thoroughly illuminates the space with soft, ambient light while the downlighting provides great surface illumination over a desk or kitchen countertop.
The electrical feed location can be almost anywhere along the length of the fixture and mounting can either be hard stems with canopies or a flexible wire with cables. The drop can also be customized but should be at least about 12” overall to get an even spread across the ceiling. Give us the floor plan or the dimensions and we’ll design the custom light fixture to perfectly fit your project!
SIZES
Length: almost any length—Please specify in units-of-an-inch [Note: lengths over 12 feet will require a discrete seam]
Drop (the distance FROM face-of-ceiling TO bottom-of-fixture):
Standard Drops: are approximately 12” or- approximately 18”
Custom Drops: are available with an up-charge
Minimum and Maximum Drops: If a drop is too short, one will see “hot spots” on the ceiling—and 11” is the approximate minimum drop to avoid that. BUT: if the drop is too large, the distance might cause an insufficient amount of light to bounce off the ceiling. When an average good drop is wanted, then approximately 18” seems to be best, and that can be extended to about 24” (Though designers sometimes specify drops which are larger than that.)
Adjustable Drops: Some mounting methods allow for field adjustment of the size of the drop, like the methods where the fixture is held-up by Cables (which can be field-trimmed), or when we provide Custom Drops (whose components allow for field-trimming).
LIGHT SOURCES
JD Halogen lamps
Base: Bayonet, double-contact base, BA15d
130 Volts
50 or 75 Watts (each lamp)
No transformer necessary
Note: Lamps are usually spaced approximately 12” apart
JD Krypton lamps (Blocks UV)
Base: Bayonet, double-contact base, BA15d
120 Volts
20, 40 or 60 Watts (each lamp)
No transformer necessary
Note: Lamps are usually spaced approximately 12” apart
LED lamps (Close to zero UV)
Base: Bayonet, double-contact base, BA15d
120 Volts - Dimmable
6 Watts (each lamp) 75 Watt incandescent equivalent
No transformer necessary
Note: Lamps are usually spaced approximately 12” apart
NOTE: Fixtures are provided with a set of lamps (or, if specified or integral to the fixture’s design, with LED’s), as specified by the customer. It is the customer’s responsibility to verify that their selection is compatible with their wiring, power, switching, and dimming system.
